Take An Email Break On Your Vacation!

Vacation season is here and I know you’re itching to get away from the office and get some well-deserved downtime. But how about leaving your virtual office behind too?

If you’re concerned about the plethora of emails you’ll need to deal with if you don’t stay on top of it while lolling around on a beach, I have a suggestion for a great addition to your vacation alert that may just help you truly leave your office work behind …

CLEARLY indicate that you are away and that you will be deleting everything upon your return and to please resend later if it’s important.

This takes the pressure off of spending your entire first day back at the office reading all that email and responding to urgent matters. Often times an ‘urgent’ email manages to work itself out – especially if you weren’t there to fret over it in the first place.

Nothing rejuvenates you more than taking a true break from work. You’ll come back refreshed, reenergized, and probably better focused on getting back to work.

Take a break. Get more done.

Now, go take that well-deserved vacation!
