I’m so pleased to see you’ve made it to this page. It means you’re curious to know a little bit about me.
I’m Georgina, but my friends and family call me George. And more seasoned people (aka seniors) like to call me Georgie. And in case you’re wondering … yes, I have also been called Georgie Porgie followed by the rest of the little ditty, as well as the infamous George of the Jungle cartoon jingle 🙂 I answer to any and all iterations of my name.
If you’re considering working with me, I believe it’s smart of you to check me out. So let me share a few things that you may (or may not) find of interest …

Over the years, I have attained several certifications specific to the organizing industry which include Certified Organizer Coach, Certified Professional Organizer and Certified Photo Manager. I have gradually been letting these credentials go as I slow down my business, but it doesn’t mean I take what I do any less seriously. In my 25+ years as a Professional Organizer, I’ve invested heavily in educating myself through training classes, workshops and as a regular attendee at my professional association’s annual conferences. These days, I make time to learn about the many facets of the world of photo organizing with The Photo Managers. Although I focus more on the photo organizing side of the business nowadays, I still love to coach and consult with Small-Office-Home-Office clients where I can help organize their space, time, and information so they can get more done in less time with less stress. Helping people get organized is just something I love to do! |

It really started with an old framed wedding photo of my mom and dad.
I was always enamoured with this photo which hung in their bedroom. One day, well into my adulthood, I confessed to my mom that I loved it. She got a downcast look on her face and then said (in her broken English) “maybe when I tell you about it, you won’t like it anymore.” I was intrigued. Turns out, it’s two pictures that some photographer put together (this was back in the early 60’s) and then painted a wedding dress, a veil and a bouquet of flowers on my mom, and a suit on my dad.
It’s funny … I never noticed those things were painted on but once I saw them, I couldn’t un-see them.
The story she shared only made me love the photo more. I never saw any love between my parents, but the fact that they took the time and money – which would have been very scarce in those days – and made a wedding portrait … still chokes me up when I think of it. They really did love each other in their weird way. When my parents passed, that framed photo was the only item I insisted on having. I’m happy to say nobody in the family fought me on it.
Photos can have a very real emotional impact on a person. This story highlights that. Photos capture some of the best moments in our lives and I think that’s why they are so important to many people. They have the power to invoke meaningful memories.
I’m grateful for the lessons that this simple photo taught me about true love … it’s enduring, even when you’re going through the tough times.
City life to country living – it’s been a transition, but one I can’t imagine ever going back to.
Home is now a farm in rural Alberta where I live with my hubby. We are empty-nesters, as our kiddo lives about an hour away with his family. We have one grandson of whom – do I even need to say it? – we absolutely adore.
We are both semi-retired now and spend our time between our work, volunteering in our small farming community, and the many tasks it takes to keep a farm maintained.
We currently employ two feral cats that take care of any potential rodent issues, and we pay them handsomely by providing plenty of water, treats and food (they’re a little chunky), along with several cushy hidey-holes inside our huge barn where they feel safe and protected. They are rescued cats, so humans are not on their list of friendlies.
Oh, and we also have a pet box turtle that technically belongs to our son but for some strange reason, even after 27+ years, he still lives with us. Some “kids” just never leave home!!! A note to the wise … be cautious when agreeing to take in a pet that has a looooooong life expectancy 🙂
