Frequently Asked Questions
You have questions. I have answers.

Here are some questions I typically get asked about Do-It-Yourself help. If there’s something you want to know and the answer isn’t here, please reach out to me.

Can I really do this on my own?

Honestly? Yes – you can.

But if you’ve ever started organizing your photos and then stopped halfway through … or you’ve been putting it off because you don’t even know where to begin, you already know it’s not that simple.

This kind of project takes time, energy, and a lot of patience. And when it starts to feel overwhelming (which it usually does), it’s really easy to lose momentum and walk away from it.

You’re not the only one who feels this way.

Whether you’ve got boxes of old printed photos or thousands of digital images scattered everywhere, it can feel like a lot. Especially when you’re dealing with years – or even decades – of memories.

That’s where I can help.

You don’t have to figure it all out by yourself. I’ll work with you to create a simple, personalized plan so you can stay focused, make steady progress, and actually finish what you started.

No overwhelm. No guessing what to do next.

And when you’re done? You’ll finally feel that sense of relief – and pride – that comes from having your photos organized and easy to enjoy.

How exactly can you help me?

Great question – because every photo organizing project is a little different.

You might be dealing with boxes of printed photos, a huge digital collection, or both – and with that often comes a lot of uncertainty.

You might be wondering:

  • Where do I even begin?
  • How do I organize thousands of photos without feeling overwhelmed?
  • Should I sort by date or by event?
  • What do I do with duplicates or photos I don’t want?
  • How do I preserve everything properly?

These kinds of questions can make it hard to get started – or keep going.

That’s where I can help.

I’ll work with you to create a simple, personalized plan and guide you step-by-step so you can stay focused, make progress, and avoid feeling overwhelmed.

You don’t have to figure it all out on your own.

How does this work?

We’ll connect online using Zoom, so you can get support right from home.

Throughout your organizing process, we’ll meet for one-hour sessions where I’ll help you with direction, check-ins, and any challenges that come up along the way.

By the end of each call, you’ll have a clear plan and next steps – so you always know exactly what to do next and can keep your project moving forward.

What do you charge for this service?

My coaching rate is $125 CAD per hour + tax.

I recommend starting with a package of three one-hour sessions:

  • In our first session, we’ll go over your goals and create a personalized plan based on your timeline and how much time you can realistically commit.
  • The next two sessions are for check-ins, guidance, and keeping you on track as you make progress.

After that, you can book additional one-hour sessions as needed.

And in between calls, if you get stuck or have a quick question, you’re welcome to reach out by text or email – I’m here to support you, not leave you spinning your wheels.

How long have you been in the organizing business?

I’ve been helping people get organized since 2001.

I hold certifications in professional organizing through NAPO,  as well as photo management certification through The Photo Managers.
