Digital Photo Organizing

It’s time to finally take control of your photos that are scattered across your devices with my digital photo organizing service.

Imagine all of your photos and videos in one organized digital library.

If you’re local to me (Edmonton, Red Deer, Calgary, and surrounding areas) you can hand over your collection of devices where I will consolidate, de-duplicate, organize, and back up your digital photo collection.

If you’re not local, you can safely ship your digital items such as flash drives, discs, camera cards and other media to me, and I’ll do the work in my office.

You’ll end up with a photo collection that is easy to use and share with your family and friends. Let a certified photo organizer do the work for you.

Frequently Asked Questions
You have questions. I have answers.

Here are some questions I typically get asked. If there’s something you want to know and the answer isn’t here, please reach out to me.

What is the process you use to organize digital photos?

I follow a 4-step process that looks like this:

Consolidate
All of your photos will be copied and/or downloaded into one location. An external hard drive is used to create your new photo hub.

De-Duplicate
Using a software application, your entire photo library will be scanned and all duplicates will be identified and *removed.

Organize
Using a customized and simplified folder structure, your photos will be organized in a way that will make it easy for you to find the photos you want, when you want them.

Maintain
You will be provided with best practices for continued maintenance on your newly organized photo library as you continue to add to it.

*Any duplicate photos that are identified will be moved to a separate folder to be deleted by you when you’re ready.

Will you delete any photos?

The short and quick answer is NO. Any extra copies of the original photos that are discovered during the de-duplication process, as well as any blurry and unrecognizable photos will be moved to a separate folder for you to determine when you are ready to delete them permanently.

How can you help me reduce the number of photos in my photo library?

Although I cannot make the decisions as to which photos you should keep, and which ones you should let go of, I can help you make sound choices on how to best curate your photos.

As you begin to get comfortable with the idea of letting go of photos, you’ll come to learn how to identify and keep only the most meaningful ones that truly tell the story of your life.

How long will this take?

I wish I could give you an exact time frame, but I cannot. Each project is a custom job so it is difficult to say how long your project will take.

If there is a time line, you can discuss the details with me. I will do my utmost best to accommodate your requirement for project completion.

How much will this cost?

I’m not going to lie to you … organizing your photos can be pricey. But do keep this in mind … if you’ve been taking photos for years, and even decades, it’s going to take some time to organize them all – and time is money. I will work with you to determine your budget and how to best design the scope of the project so that it’s manageable on your pocket book.
