Digital Photo Organizing

I follow a 4-step process:

Consolidate
All of your photos are gathered into one central location. I’ll create a new “photo hub” on an external hard drive so everything is in one place and nothing gets lost.

De-Duplicate
Using specialized software, your entire photo collection is scanned to identify duplicates. These are then separated out so we can reduce clutter and redundancy.

Organize
Your photos are then arranged using a clear, customized folder structure. The goal is simple: you’ll be able to find what you’re looking for quickly and easily.

Maintain
Once everything is organized, I’ll give you simple best practices so you can keep your photo library tidy as you continue adding new images.

The short answer is no.

Any duplicate copies found during the de-duplication process, as well as blurry or unrecognizable photos, will be moved into a separate folder for you to review and delete whenever you’re ready

You’ll have full control over what gets deleted and when. Nothing is permanently removed without your decision.

That’s completely normal. A lot of people feel this way at the start.

I won’t be making decisions for you about what to keep or delete – but I will guide you through the process so it feels a lot less overwhelming. Together, we’ll look at simple, practical ways to start narrowing things down so you can begin to recognize which photos are truly meaningful and worth keeping.

Over time, most people find that it becomes easier to let go of duplicates and similar photos, blurry images, and photos that don’t really add to the story they want their collection to tell.

The goal isn’t to get rid of everything – it’s to help you keep the photos that genuinely matter to you so your collection feels more intentional and enjoyable to look through.

Every photo organizing project is unique, so there isn’t a one-size-fits-all timeline.

To get you started, here are some common places to look:

The cost depends on the size and complexity of your photo collection?

If you’ve been taking photos for years – or even decades – it’s completely normal for the process to take time.

The good news is, you get to choose a level of support that fits your budget, and we’ll shape the scope of the project so it feels manageable for you.

To keep things simple, I offer three package options:

What counts as a photo source?
Phone / iCloud • Computer • External hard drive • CDs • SD cards • Dropbox • Google Photos • Other storage locations

Important note
Smaller items such as camera cards, flash/thumb drives and discs are grouped in sets of ten. 10 small items = 1 photo source for pricing purposes.
