A Desk Potato is someone who spends a significant amount of time sitting at a desk, often for work or study.
Long commutes, lengthy desk sessions and nightly TV marathons … all this sitting is now called the new smoking and it’s really bad for us health-wise. Yup, I’m pretty guilty of doing marathon sessions at my desk. How about you?
The good news is you can improve your flexibility and strength – and your productivity – in just a few minutes without ever leaving your workspace.
A little bit of movement and exercise can …
Keep you alert and focused. Exercise increases blood flow to your brain, which sharpens your awareness and ultimately improves your job performance.
Kick up your energy level. It’s the foundation that determines how much you can get done in a day.
Improve your brain function. When your brain is performing at full capacity you can focus, concentrate and make better decisions.
